Wall-to-Wall Mural & Culture Festival
will facilitate the creation of a series of new works of contemporary street art, in view of the longterm goal of transforming an under-utilized warehouse district in Winnipeg’s North End into a thriving artistic community. As has been demonstrated with previous work through our mural and culture festival, Wall-to-Wall, coupling colourful works of contemporary street art with sincere community engagement and accessible public programming results in tangible change at a grassroots level. Socially-conscious public art has the power to bring together diverse communities, to open meaningful dialogues around sensitive issues, to provide platforms for under-represented voices to be heard, and to beautify and to make safer our cities. This project will be executed by North End Community Renewal Corporation
