Maribeth Manalaysay Tabanera AKA Kilusan is a Tagalog Visayan filipinx queer non-binary multi-hyphenate artist, educator and community organiser born and raised in Treaty 1 Territory/Winnipeg's North End. They have presented their work as an educator, dancer, and DJ at events all over Turtle Island/North America. Recently, Kilusan has been co-producing kiki ballroom events with Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain. Last month, Maribeth’s work was published in Magdaragat: An Anthology of Filipino-Canadian Writing. They are currently based in Tkaronto completing their Master of Education in Social Justice Education at the University of Toronto.
